Abstract
E. H. Fever was. first reported in Manchuria in 1938 by Russian and Japanese workers, but it was during the Korea War when it attracted world wide attention.
Specific features of the disease are renal damage and bleeding tendency.
Bone Marrow Studies were made in 35 Case of E. H. Fever in oliguric or diuretic stage, who were admitted to Wonju Union Christian Hospital from January 1970 to December 1972.
The following results were obtained:
1) There was no correlation between thrombocytopenia in peripheral blood and the number of,
megakaryocytes in bone marrow. In fact, there was a decrease in megakaryocytes (average 0.18%) in spite of marked thrombocytopenia
2) The number of reticulum cells in the bone marrow were increased, and many of these were actively phagocytic The phagocytized substances were erythrocytes, myelocytes, platelets, or normoblast
